My name is Lizaveta Vitsiankova; I created this website as my professional online portfolio. Here, you can find an overview of my educational, professional and personal experiences over the last few years.
Below are some things about me that you will not find on my resume: As reflected in my mission statement above, I have always been a curious individual, exploring new skills, spaces and places. Due to this, I am a highly motivated individual, always looking for a challenge. Where I might lack hands-on experience, I make up for being a quick and diligent student. I always believed that every skill is one Google search or book away. In recent years, I decided to expand my skills and interests beyond what I was learning in class, so I decided to teach myself how to crochet, and I am also learning French through online courses.
One of my main interests growing up was other people. I was always interested in what drives their behaviours and thoughts, which made me want to pursue Psychology in my University studies. While being a student, I became very active in the study organisations of my faculty, which allowed me to broaden my horizons, meet people from different walks of life, and gain new experiences and skills. This further stimulated my interest in people and organisational processes. As my studies progressed, my conceptualisation of human drives, wants, and fears became more defined. This made me realise that my main interest lies in individuals within an organisational context. My minor in Social and Organisational Psychology allowed me to explore just that and how the notion of organisational change processes influences the company structure, its employees and other stakeholders. The case studies we discussed in class and that I researched for my assignments made me realise how neglected employees tend to be in organisational change processes. This seemed paradoxical at best, as employees are one of the essential parts that make or break effective implementation of change initiatives. This realisation motivated me to pursue additional studies in Business focusing on change management and consulting. The individual and group projects I worked on and completed during my Master's further amplified my perceived gap in employee-centric change initiatives.
Now that my studies are complete, I am looking to kickstart my career as a Change Manager, trying to bridge the gap between organisational change initiatives and employees by focusing on organisational health and employee wellbeing. My main aim is to help organisations make a change for the better!
